2009 was a great year for Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers. With the public, the media and law enforcement working together, we were able to solve 61 cases, resulting in 38 arrests and recovering over $23,000.00 in property and narcotics.

Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers received 333 tips over the year, and paid out almost $9,000.00 in rewards.

2009 was the most productive of the past several years. We thank you for your support, your tips, and your donations. We promise you that we will keep solving crime in the coming year.

Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.

Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers provides a telephone number (560-INFO) and Web Tips (www.ncstips.com) to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime.

Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information given leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.

Crime Stoppers relies on volunteer Directors and tax deductible contributions from the public in order to operate the administration of the program.
